Pavement to peaks

Turning small strides into big adventures.

Welcome to Pavement to Peaks

No matter where you’re starting from—even if it’s just walking indoors—this journey is for everyone. Whether you’re taking your first steps or ready to conquer the trails, Pavement to Peaks meets you where you are and helps you build confidence, strength, and joy with every step.

I’m not a medical professional, but I speak from experience. Living with a spinal fusion, chronic knee pain, and hypothyroidism, I’ve learned how to move safely, listen to my body, and progress gently. This program is designed to support people facing similar challenges as well as anyone who wants to start moving more.

Remember: 1% better each day — small, consistent improvements lead to big, lasting changes.

Who is this for?

Absolute beginners looking to build a walking habit

People managing chronic pain or metabolic diseases

Those recovering from injury or surgery

Anyone who wants a sustainable, safe, and encouraging way to move

how does it work?

1. Start Where You Are

Maybe that’s walking around your living room or down the hall. That’s perfectly okay! Movement is movement, and every step counts.

2. Build Gradually

We’ll follow a gentle, flexible walking plan that respects your body’s signals while helping you increase endurance and strength over time.

3. Celebrate Progress

Big or small, your progress is meaningful. Each stride is a step toward better health and greater joy.

Tips for success

Always warm up and cool down with light stretches.

Stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes.

If pain flares up, reduce intensity or rest — don’t push through sharp pain.

Check with your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program.

Celebrate every step forward, no matter how small.

Remember: 1% better each day adds up to lasting change.

I’ve been living with spinal fusion, chronic knee pain, and hypothyroidism. Moving and training safely has been a challenge — but I’ve discovered methods that work for me, and I want to share them with you. While I’m not a medical professional, I’m here to encourage and guide you on your own movement journey.
